About The Position

The Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Tualatin is a locally-owned, community-minded practice seeking mature, motivated certified veterinary technicians (CVTs) with good communication skills and an interest in contributing to the community. The clinic has been well-known and highly respected for 27 years. Technicians are highly utilized in a well-equipped facility, with every shift offering a different experience and a great variety of caseloads. CVTs work in ER, ICU, and surgeries, with patient care being the top priority in a great team and supportive work environment.

Requirements

  • Reliable, professional, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and well-organized
  • Able to work as a team member and independently
  • Able to handle stressful situations with poise
  • Ability to demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • Must be a certified veterinary technician in Oregon
  • Proof of CVT license at the time of the interview
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Veterinary Technician license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the State of Oregon
  • Fifteen (15) hours of continuing education from an accredited program every two years as required to maintain licensure in the State of Oregon

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in Veterinary Technology is desirable but not necessary provided the applicant/employee has an active Veterinary Technician license in the State of Oregon
  • Previous on-the-job training and animal care experience preferred
