About The Position

Wedington Animal Hospital has provided exceptional veterinary care to the Fayetteville, AR area since 1993! Our experienced team of veterinary professionals are experts in the field. We treat dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, and small mammals. We are a full-service pet hospital, providing services such as pet wellness, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, and cold laser therapy. At Wedington Animal Hospital, we value your expertise, your passion, and most importantly, your love of animals! We are a fun and vibrant team committed to providing quality care! Our hours of operation are: Monday – Friday: 7:30 am - 10:00 pm Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Requirements

  • A Certified Veterinary Technician with an active license required
  • Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
  • Availability to work weekends
  • Excellent client communication and medical record management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations
  • Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
  • Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
  • Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
  • Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year professional experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skills in dental radiography being a plus
