Certified Veterinary Technician, Emergency
About The Position
WVRC Waukesha is a 24/7 VECCS Level I Certified Emergency & Critical Care and Specialty Hospital, providing advanced, lifesaving care in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. Requirements
- CVT licensure is required OR eligible to obtain license within 9 months
- At least 1 year of technician experience
- Comfortable with restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing care
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
Nice To Haves
- ER experience a plus, not required
Responsibilities
- Support the health and wellbeing of pets by performing proficient patient triage, speedy trauma assessments, extensive diagnostics, emergency patient stabilization, and in-depth patient care
- Utilize your technical skill sets by executing tasks such as restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, general nursing care, drug calculations from fluid rates to CRIs, in addition to monitoring general anesthesia and more!
- Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians and support teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
