About The Position

Pulaski Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and provide dedicated support for surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in the state of Wisconsin
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Proficiency in surgical assistance and aseptic technique
  • Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Proficiency in venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
  • Proficiency in radiology positioning and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in medication administration and accurate drug calculations
  • Proficiency in client education and communication
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules
  • Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
  • Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
  • Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
  • Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
  • Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
