Certified Veterinary Technician - Cardiology Service
About The Position
Join the Cardiology team at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota as a Veterinary Technician! If you love high-quality medicine, teamwork, and helping pets with complex cardiac conditions, we’d love to meet you. In this role, you’ll support our cardiology service through patient care, diagnostics, treatments, client communication, and collaboration with specialists and the care team. Ideal candidates are organized, compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced specialty environment. Veterinary technician experience required; specialty or cardiology experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train motivated technicians eager to learn.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year as a veterinary technician
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Computer proficient - Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook; typing skills
- Ability to always demonstrate a positive attitude
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds from floor to table height
- Excessive walking and standing, frequent squatting
- Incur risk of injury from animals
- Ability to work well under pressure and high levels of stress
Nice To Haves
- Certification preferred
- Specialty experience a plus
- Specialty or cardiology experience is a plus
