About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist assists with the care and preparation of surgical patients and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. The role is responsible for assembling and setting up surgical instrumentation and equipment and using it during procedures. Work is primarily routine but can change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation, requiring directed or independent decision-making depending on the circumstances. The position is 0.9 FTE on a day shift. The schedule alternates between four 10-hour shifts from 0630 to 1700 one week and four 8-hour shifts from 0630 to 1500 the following week, with rotating call. MultiCare Valley Hospital is a 123-bed, fully accredited acute-care hospital in Spokane Valley. It features a Level III Trauma Center and provides surgical, inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and advanced cardiac services.

Requirements

Graduate of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to the start date.
Health Care Provider-level CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
Previous experience preferred.
