About The Position

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center- Woodlands Parkway, a member of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), provides high-quality, patient-centered ambulatory surgical care. The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and functions as a competent member of the surgical team. The role prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment related to procedures, supports the Surgery Center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals, and participates in quality improvement activities. The position works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions when needed.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
