About The Position

Franciscan Orthopedic Surgery Center is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for its operating room. The role involves preparing instruments, sterile supplies, and patients; assisting the surgical team during procedures; and, as needed, helping with counts, equipment operation, and specimen handling. Clinic responsibilities may also include rooming patients, taking vital signs, handling orders, and routing phone calls. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions are available. The posting states there are no weekends or holidays.

Requirements

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certificate required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.

Nice To Haves

One year of surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Arrange instrument trays and prepare sterile drapes and solutions.
Help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.
Assist with patient preparation as needed.
Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used during surgery.
May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment.
Package specimens for laboratory analysis.
Clinic responsibilities may include rooming patients, taking vital signs, handling orders, and routing phone calls.
