Internal Traveler Program Certified Surgical Technologist - Outpatient Surgery Center
About The Position
This is a contract position for a Certified Surgical Technologist in an Outpatient Surgery Center. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program. A minimum of three years of experience is required, along with BLS certification and current registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine. The position involves standing for prolonged periods, repetitive motion such as passing instruments, and lifting heavy instrument sets. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills are necessary, as is attention to detail and the ability to write legibly. Candidates must be able to lift/push/pull over 50-100 lbs and may be exposed to cold, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease. The pay rate is a fixed $52.00 hourly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduated from an CAHEEP or ABHES accredited by CAHEEP/ABHES OR NCCT Approved program
- Three years of experience required
- BLS required
- Certified to practice as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA (The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- Current Registration with Virginia Board of Medicine required at the time of hire
- Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills
- Attention to detail and ability to write legibly
- Ability to lift/push/pull >50 - 100lbs
