About The Position

Foundation Surgical Hospital is hiring a Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech. The hospital has 25 beds, 8 operating rooms, and 3 emergency room rooms, and performs orthopedic and spine procedures.

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence as a member of the surgical team. The role maintains a sterile field and prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures. The technologist supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center and participates in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by the state and/or center.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
