Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
About The Position
This is a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) position in a busy Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) with 3 Operating Rooms and 1 Procedure Room. The ASC specializes in ophthalmology, retina, ENT, ortho, pain management, and podiatry for both pediatric and adult patients. The role offers no weekends, overnights, holidays, or on-call duties. Employees receive every first, third, and fifth Friday off, unless there is scheduled education or inventory. Surgical Technologists, also known as scrubs or surgical/operating room technicians, assist surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel during surgical operations. They are integral members of the operating room team, which typically includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Surgical Technologist certification.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of surgical experience in the Operating Room.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
- Function as a member of the operating room team.
