About The Position

This position is a member of the Burn team within the CVOR. The Certified Surgical Technologist facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. They will prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies. The technologist will hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery, and assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients. They will also maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
