About The Position
The Certified Surgical Technologist - Day Surgery Center Operating Room position is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with working hours from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. This role is located in Arlington Heights, IL, and does not require any travel. The hourly pay range is $26.61 - $39.92, with the final rate determined by the candidate's expertise and years of experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved surgical technology program
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience

- Certification in surgical technology preferred
Responsibilities
- Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff.
- Inspects, properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.
- Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies and procedures.
- Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure.
- Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients – pediatric through geriatric.
