About The Position

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II is a member of the operating room team. The role prepares sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures and performs room duties involving direct patient care in accordance with established procedural guidelines. The position requires knowledge and skills to provide care or services appropriate to patients’ level of development, while considering the needs of their families. This is a PRN opportunity in MUSC Florence’s Endoscopy Unit. The role is hourly, with scheduled weekly hours listed as 8. Eligible employees may participate in the State Retirement Program.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or a surgical technology military program.
At least one year of work experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
Meet the criteria for a Level I Certified Surgical Technologist.
Hold and maintain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credentials from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST).
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
