About The Position

Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist for its busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk. The center is affiliated with United Surgical Partners International (USPI), whose mission is to care for each patient and family as if they were its own. The Certified Surgical Technologist supports departmental functions in line with USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals, and establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The role scrubs for surgical procedures and works with leadership to meet facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals. The posting notes no weekends, holidays, or call.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
BLS certification.
Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
Independent decision-making skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
Excellent customer service skills, ability to work as a team player, and ability to communicate with patients, employees, and medical staff.
Advocacy for patient safety and quality of care.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
