About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Required to assist the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Assists with prompt turnover of surgical cases, case setup and proper care of surgical instruments and equipment. Performs delegated patient care duties. Call required.

Requirements

• Graduate of Nursing or Surgical Technologist program
• Surgical Technologist Certification
• BLS (or within 6 months of hire)
• Current Montana Nursing License (LPN only)
• Basic medical terminology and anatomy
• Asepsis and sterile technique
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to pass a health and immunizations screening
