About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist works with the perioperative team under the supervision of nursing staff to provide safe and effective care to surgical patients during the intraoperative period. The position is responsible for call and is a full-time, 80-hour role on the day shift at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Surgical Technology diploma from an accredited program or documented on-the-job training program.
CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

Certified Surgical Technologist certification.
One year of surgical technician experience.

Demonstrate surgical aseptic technique by following policies and procedures.
Engage in activities to expand or enhance the professional role, including integration of research and evidence-based practice.
Perform patient care safely and effectively.
Facilitate interventions in accordance with the patient’s established plan of care and provide appropriate nursing interventions for patients undergoing surgical intervention.
Follow policies and procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing scopes and instruments.
Follow policies and procedures for environmental cleaning and housekeeping.
