Certified Surgical Technologist
About The Position
The Certified Surgical Technologist assists with the care and preparation of surgical patients and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. The role is responsible for assembling, setting up, and using surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures. Work is primarily routine but can change rapidly to emergent or critical situations, requiring directed or independent decision-making depending on the circumstances. The position is based at MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. The schedule is 1.0 FTE, days, with four 10-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
- Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to the start date.
- Health Care Provider-level CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- National certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Previous experience is preferred.
