CST Traveler- Variety of Surgical Cases plus C-Sections
About The Position
Otsego Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week contract opportunity in beautiful Northern Michigan. This role involves working within a collaborative surgical team environment, handling a varied surgical caseload including C-sections. The position is part of an internal traveler team, offering flexible and seasonal assignments in a location where people vacation. As a member of the OR team, you will collaborate with specialty surgeons, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses to provide excellent patient care in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Graduation of an approved Surgical Technology Training Program or Licensed Practical Nurse with previous scrub experience.
- BLS
- Surgical Technologist certification (C.S.T. or N.C.C.T)

Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for upcoming surgeries
- Sterilize equipment and stock up any necessary supplies
- Prepare patients for their procedures
- Sterilize equipment and hand surgeons instruments upon request
- Order and take inventory of supplies and maintain files and records of procedures
