About The Position

Bring your surgical skills to a high-performing, nationally recognized Urology team! As a Clinic CST in Deaconess Clinic Urology—ranked among the nation’s top 10% of urology care providers—you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional care across the full surgical experience, from clinic procedures to the operating room. In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with board-certified urologists, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to support patients undergoing surgery and in-office procedures. You’ll assist in procedures, provide direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision, coordinate surgical equipment and supplies, and help maintain procedure rooms and sterilization processes, including autoclave management. You’ll also support post-operative care in clinic and help ensure every patient receives safe, seamless, and compassionate care. The Clinic Specialty Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing direct or indirect care, under the supervision of a physician, to patients who present for surgery in the operating room, in-office procedure rooms, and direct support to the surgeon in clinic managing post-op care. Services include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient/family education, coordination of equipment and supplies to varying operating rooms, and maintenance of in-office procedure rooms and autoclave. This role also performs department-specific duties requiring special training and provides care utilizing established principles and ethical standards, as well as policies and procedures established by Deaconess.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Required or Current certification from the National Center for Competency Testing Required or Current certification from the National Association for Health Professionals
  • Current CPR provider certification
