About The Position

HSS is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist I for the 4th Floor OR on a Per Diem basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of patient care by supporting the Magnet surgical team. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• NBSTSA Certification required
• American Heart Associate Heartsaver required
• One year of experience required
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Self-motivated and proactive
• A team player who knows how to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Active participant in seeking solutions to problems

Responsibilities

• Provide support to our Magnet surgical team.
• Assist physicians and nurses in surgery using best practices of sterile technique.
• Assemble, maintain and track surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect all packaged items to ensure integrity.
• Conduct pre-op, intra-op and post-op surgical counts according to AORN standards.
• Maintain the integrity of the surgical field during procedures.
• Collaborate with your team to promote the highest standards of patient safety.
