31400 - Certified Surgical Technician Labor & Delivery
About The Position
Provides technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures and assists surgical team from the scrub position during an operation. This is a full-time position (36 hours) with rotating day/night 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays per unit policy. The role also involves processing instruments and stocking the Operating Room and Labor Room. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the technician provides patient care by performing basic and selected specialized procedures that contribute to the well-being, comfort, and safety of patients.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technician or meet NYS requirements to be grandfathered into Public Health law 2824.
