About The Position

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification for Surgical Technology with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.

Responsibilities

Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
Performs the role of the scrub technician.
Uses principles of aseptic technique to establish and maintain a sterile field
Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule.
Maintains organized work area and participates in daily unit duties.
Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.
