About The Position

Deliver high-quality surgical support in fast-paced Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVOR), upholding patient safety standards to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Establish and maintain sterile fields, prepping specialized cardiovascular instrumentation, equipment, and supplies in strict compliance with AORN and Joint Commission standards. Execute precise patient preparation, positioning, and draping to support direct patient care, surgical accuracy, and procedural flow for complex cardiac cases. Provide expert, real-time surgical assistance, anticipating surgeon needs, managing specialized instrumentation, and supporting hemostasis during high-acuity open-heart and vascular procedures.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • At least 2 years CST CVOR experience
