About The Position

The Certified Surgical Tech works in the Leesburg Hospital Main OR and provides an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs. Surgical conscience is of utmost importance, and the role requires familiarity with the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases. The position is full-time, with a 1.0 FTE schedule on days, Monday through Friday, in Leesburg, Florida. On-call coverage is required, and the employee must be able to report to the hospital within a 30-minute call window.

Requirements

• Post-high-school special training.
• Surgical Technology Certification or an LPN license.
• BLS.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs.
• Maintain surgical conscience.
• Be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases.
• Provide on-call coverage and be able to report to the hospital within a 30-minute call window.
