About The Position

This position facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. The Certified Surgical Tech prepares the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, sterile solutions, and appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. They will hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery, assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients, and maintain instruments in an organized manner while monitoring and tracking instrument counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
High school diploma equivalency AND completion of a surgical technologist program with a clinical component OR a minimum of 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.

Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
