About The Position

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is hiring a Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist to support cardiac surgery. Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational school graduate.
• Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Previous open-heart experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the surgical suite with the instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for safe, efficient procedures.
• Assist patients with transport, positioning, preparation, and draping while protecting their comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Scrub in and assist the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team's needs.
• Monitor equipment and patient status during procedures and take quick, effective action when needed.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure thorough room turnover.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
