About The Position

Facilitate the safe, efficient execution of complex pediatric cardiovascular and neurosurgical procedures in a high-acuity pediatric CVOR environment. Prepare and calibrate specialized pediatric cardiovascular and neurosurgical suites with sterile and non-sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. Provide direct surgical assistance by anticipating surgeon needs, handing instrumentation, and aiding in hemostasis during delicate pediatric operations. Assist in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping pediatric patients while adhering to strict age-specific anatomical and safety protocols. Organize instruments systematically and perform continuous, precise counts of supplies and instruments throughout procedures to uphold patient safety.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
