About The Position

InterHealth Staffing, a staffing division of TGH, is offering 13-week seasonal assignments for Certified Surgical Technologists in the Operating Room. Seasonal staff contribute to providing world-class, compassionate healthcare. Most seasonal positions require 2 years of experience, with some exceptions needing a minimum of 1 year. The role involves assisting medical and nursing staff with surgical and endoscopy procedures, managing surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment, and maintaining the surgical suite. The Surgical Tech identifies and reports situations needing intervention to the RN or Clinician, adhering to TGH's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

Graduate of Surgical Technologist training program.
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
2+ years of experience in the Operating Room (OR).
Ability to work in varied surgical settings and services such as general/GU, robotics, orthopedics, GYN, eye/ENT, neuro/neurospine.
Must have Orthopedic and Neurosurgery experience.

Responsibilities

Assists with surgical and endoscopy procedures under general supervision.
Provides, assembles, and cares for surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
Assists with cleaning, restocking, and processing of the surgical suite, instruments, and equipment.
Identifies and reports situations requiring intervention to the RN or Clinician.
Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
