About The Position

This role is for a Certified Surgical Technologist specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The position is located in Elk Grove Village, IL, within the Surgery Department at Ascension Alexian Brothers. The schedule is full-time, day shift, with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.00 and a salary range of $32.15 - $44.82 per hour. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating suite with required sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Assist in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients safely.
Organize instruments and continuously monitor and track instrument counts throughout procedures.
Hand requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon and aid in providing hemostasis during surgery.
Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of cardiovascular and/or neurosurgical procedures.
