About The Position

TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Spine Technologist to join their team. This is a fast-paced environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• CST certification is often preferred
• At least 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a hospital
• Prior spine surgery experience strongly preferred (orthopedic spine, neuro spine, or instrumentation cases)
• Familiarity with spine trays, implants, and vendor coordination
• Experience working in high-pressure situations and responding to surgical complications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during cases with a strong focus on spine procedures (e.g., decompressions, fusions, instrumentation)
• Set up and manage spine-specific instrumentation, implants, and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient case flow
• Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesia, and vendors to support optimal outcomes
• Ensure proper handling, counting, and documentation of surgical instruments and supplies
