About The Position

The Certified Surgical Scrub Technician/First Assist (CST/FA) provides patient care by applying specialized surgical skills under the direct supervision of the surgeon. The role collaborates with the surgical team, physicians, and the patient and family to support optimal patient outcomes. The CST/FA has access to confidential patient information and participates in clinical decision-making as part of a multidisciplinary team. In the surgical setting, the position operates under the direct supervision of the attending physician and the general supervision of the Clinical Manager.

This is a full-time role in the Main OR/CVOR in Chillicothe, working three 12-hour shifts per week on variable shifts. On-call duty is required approximately 1.5 weeks per month.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Current certification as a Certified First Assist (CFA or CSA).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Certification in First Assisting.
• Complete de-escalation training within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of surgical technician experience.
