About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist (CST-FA) provides direct assistance to surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician. The role combines advanced surgical technology skills with first-assist responsibilities to support safe, efficient, high-quality patient care in compliance with hospital policies, Texas regulations, and professional standards. This is a full-time, day-shift position in Surgery in Amarillo, Texas. BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years. Requirements

Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification, or a CST with a First Assist credential.
