Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred or CST with First Assist credential.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct assistance to surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Combines advanced surgical technology skills with first-assist responsibilities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in compliance with hospital policies, Texas regulations, and professional standards.
