About The Position

AMSURG is seeking a full-time Certified Sterile Processing Technician to work Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The technician works cooperatively with staff and physicians and performs a variety of sterile processing tasks in an environment focused on exceptional patient care. Candidates must be sterile processing certified and able to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking. Employment is conditional on passing a background check and drug screen and meeting the company’s COVID-19 vaccination policy or obtaining an approved medical or religious exemption.

Requirements

• Sterile processing certification and completion of a sterile processing department (SPD) certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong moral and ethical character references.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Energetic, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption, in accordance with the stated company policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sterile supplies and retrieve contaminated supplies.
• Clean instruments and equipment.
• Test and report issues or problems with sterilizing equipment or instruments.
• Maintain records of items that have been cleaned and sterilized.
