About The Position

As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital, you will support patient safety and surgical care by ensuring instruments and supplies are clean, prepared, and ready when needed. You will work with the surgical team to support safe, effective care and smooth operations.

Requirements

• Hold either a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification or a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays, ensuring they are sterile, complete, labeled, and ready for use.
• Manage sterilization equipment and maintain accurate records to support patient safety and infection prevention.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and procedure needs.
• Manage inventory and supplies in operating room storage and specialty lockers, coordinating with the surgical team.
• Respond quickly to instrument requests during surgeries and help resolve urgent equipment needs.
