About The Position

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke’s is hiring a Certified Sterile Processing Technician II for a night position. The technician supports patient safety and surgical care by ensuring instruments and supplies are clean, properly prepared, and ready when needed. The role involves maintaining sterile processing equipment and records, preparing procedure-specific sets and case carts, managing inventory, and responding to urgent instrument needs during surgeries.

Requirements

• Hold either a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification or a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays, ensuring they are sterile, complete, labeled, and ready for use.
• Manage sterilization equipment and maintain accurate records to support patient safety and infection prevention.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and procedure needs.
• Manage inventory and supplies in OR storage and specialty lockers, coordinating with the surgical team.
• Respond promptly to instrument requests during surgeries and help resolve urgent equipment needs.
