This is a full-time position for a Certified Scrub Tech who will work day shifts. The role involves preparing operating rooms, ensuring sterile equipment, assisting surgeons during operations, maintaining a sterile environment, monitoring surgical tools and supplies, positioning patients, performing surgical hand scrubs, assisting with sterile drapes, preparing specimens, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, assisting with dressings and patient transfers, performing inventory checks, restocking supplies, disposing of waste, participating in room turnover and housekeeping, complying with hospital policies, participating in time-out procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality, participating in cost-saving initiatives, preparing for upcoming cases, transporting instruments to decontamination, and demonstrating knowledge of decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization. The role also requires adherence to attendance policies, participation in departmental meetings, and reporting unsafe situations. The employee must demonstrate knowledge of and participation in hospital performance improvement, infection control, and risk management programs, as well as cultural, spiritual, and age-related considerations.
