Certified School Nurse (RN)
About The Position
Empower students to reach their full potential as a Certified School Nurse (CSN)! Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate nurse to support vibrant school communities in Highland Park, IL during the 2026–2027 school year. Provide direct nursing care and manage complex medical procedures tailored to a diverse student population from Kindergarten through Transition age (up to 22) with diverse medical and support needs. Manage daily school clinic operations, administer medications, and respond to medical emergencies. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), Emergency Action Plans, and health components of IEPs/504 plans. Partner with multidisciplinary teams as the primary liaison between families, providers, and school staff; provide critical training to educators on student-specific medical protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Certified School Nurse (CSN) endorsement
