About The Position
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will provide clinical anesthesia coverage at a hospital in Sumter, South Carolina, from December 21, 2026, through March 22, 2027. The role covers general bread-and-butter surgical cases and pediatric anesthesia, with no heart, neuro, or obstetric cases. The patient population ranges from pediatric patients to adults, with a daily volume of approximately 15–30 patients. The facility uses Epic. Coverage is clinical only, and travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered through an all-inclusive rate.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina license.
- NBCRNA certification required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Clean background and clean malpractice history.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for bread-and-butter surgical cases.
- Manage anesthesia for pediatric patients.
- Perform thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
- Monitor patients during surgery and manage post-anesthesia recovery.
- Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
