About The Position
OceanView at Falmouth, a locally owned assisted living community, is seeking compassionate per-diem Certified Residential Medication Aides to join its Legacy Memory Care team. The CRMA provides personal care and administers medications while promoting resident safety, dignity, and well-being. The role supports positive service for residents, families, and coworkers and collaborates with nursing leadership to follow care plans and regulatory standards. Flexible scheduling is offered based on the employee’s availability and community needs.
Requirements
- At least one year of similar direct-care experience in a comparable setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging situations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current 40-hour Certified Residential Medication Aide certification.
- Current CPR certification or willingness to become certified within six months of hire.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to seven hours per day.
- Ability to walk, bend, lift, and assist residents as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- CNA or PSS certification.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications according to state and federal regulations, physician orders, and residents’ conditions.
- Monitor residents’ responses to medications and report adverse effects to the Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager.
- Document medication administration according to company policy.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in individual care plans.
- Encourage residents to participate in life enrichment programs.
- Observe and promptly report changes in residents’ conditions or safety concerns.
- Complete shift assignments and required documentation.
- Communicate effectively during shift changes to support continuity of care.
- Follow company rules, safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Promote a positive, collaborative team environment.
