About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) to join our team. CRMAs are assigned to our Residential Care area. In addition to a 40-hour CRMA certification, the candidate must also possess a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. The Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA)/Personal Support Specialist (PSS) is responsible for providing high-quality care and support to residents in a residential care setting. This role includes administering medications as a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) and assisting residents with activities of daily living as a Personal Support Specialist (PSS). The CRMA/PSS works as part of a team to ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment while promoting resident dignity, independence, and well-being.

Requirements

  • Current 40-hour CRMA certification
  • Personal Support Specialist (PSS) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs)
  • Communicate any concerns or changes in resident condition to nursing staff
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
  • Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding when required
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
