Certified Residential Medication Aide CRMA - Assisted Living
About The Position
Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services. This position is within the Assisted Living department at Rumford Community Home in Rumford, ME.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a Residential Care Specialist 1, or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Certificate. May be trained within 4 months of employment.
- Must have state approved 40-hour certificated medication administration certification.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills to be able to accurately administer proper medication dosage.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care resident care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administers medications to residents in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the licensing and functioning of Residential Care Facilities.
- Performs routine daily tasks required to maintain the health, comfort, and well-being of residents.
- Functions within the constraints of established policy and procedure consistent with accepted/allowed standards of practice and state and federal regulations.
- Performs resident care when not being utilized as a CRMA.
