About The Position

This position delivers compassionate, holistic, family-centered nursing care by applying the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence through consistent adherence to St. Peter’s Behavioral Standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of professional school of nursing.
• Current Montana License as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years of experience working as an OB RN.
• OB TRACK: Basic Fetal Monitoring during orientation (6 months) and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring at one year.
• PEDS TRACK: Intermediate or advanced FM every 2 years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• OB TRACK: Requires NRP, ACLS and STABLE certification within 12 months of hire.
• PEDS TRACK: Requires NRP, STABLE, and PALS certification within 12 months of hire.
• After two years experience the following certifications are strongly encouraged: OB TRACK: Inpatient OB, Lactation, EFM optional
• After two years experience the following certifications are strongly encouraged: PEDS TRACK: Pediatric, Lactation

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to assess patient needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Evaluate patient outcomes.
• Provide care for the laboring, antepartum, and postpartum (couplet) patient.
• Circulate for cesarean within six months of hire.
• Provide care for the neonatal, postpartum (couplet), and pediatric patient.
