About The Position
Mayo Clinic is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 1.0 FTE position with no call, nights, holidays, or weekends. This role offers the opportunity to provide the highest quality patient care across a variety of clinical specialties in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Requirements
- Registered nurse who has completed a formal program in nurse anesthesia.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree required for all new hires after January 1, 2012.
- Current Minnesota Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse license.
- National Board on the Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) certification.
- Credentialed by The Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester Board of Directors and Midwest Executive Operations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Experience in surgical specialties including General, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Open Heart Surgery, as well as procedures in the Cath Lab, Radiology and GI/Endoscopy.
Nice To Haves
- Doctoral (DNP, DNAP, DrAP, PhD) degree preferred.
- PALS and NRP preferred for those working consistently with pediatric and OB patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest quality patient care by placing the needs of the patient first.
- Provide anesthesia care with competence, compassion, and accountability in a team setting.
- Plan anesthesia care in collaboration with anesthesiologists and other CRNAs.
- Gain variety and exposure across a full range of clinical specialties and a wide variety of cases.
- Participate in opportunities for education, process improvement, research, and leadership.
