The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will perform all duties and tasks under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist. The CRNA may be assigned to various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and to different ORs and specialties as needed. The role involves performing safe anesthesia care, including pre-operative assessment, administration of anesthetic techniques, patient monitoring, and assisting in post-operative care. The position requires adherence to current nursing, anesthesia, and critical care techniques, and involves detailed documentation of patient care. The CRNA will also be involved in selected educational, supervisory, and administrative tasks, including the supervision of student anesthetists.
