About The Position

MUSC Health University Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position. This role involves providing anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical cases, including general, neuro/spine, orthopedics, oncology, trauma, transplant, robotics, and burns. The CRNA will also manage anesthesia for non-operating room procedures such as CT, MRI, bronchoscopy, and interventional radiology. The position operates within a medically directed care team model, collaborating with anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and monitor vital signs throughout the perioperative period. The coverage is for a specific period from September 21, 2026, to September 28, 2026, with 13-hour shifts that include weekends.

Requirements

Active South Carolina Registered Nurse and APRN license (or in process)
Minimum 3 years of CRNA experience
Proficient in Epic EMR
Willing to work at main hospital and outpatient sites within walking distance
General Anesthesia
Neuro and Spine Anesthesia
Orthopedic Anesthesia
Oncology (ENT, GYN, Urology) Anesthesia
Trauma and Transplant Anesthesia
Robotics and Burns Anesthesia
Non-OR Anesthesia (CT, MRI, Bronchoscopy, Interventional Radiology, Neuro-angio)

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases including general, neuro/spine, orthopedics, oncology, trauma, transplant, robotics, and burns.
Administer anesthesia in main hospital ORs and outpatient/ambulatory sites as needed.
Manage anesthesia for non-operating room procedures including CT, MRI, bronchoscopy, and interventional radiology.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists in a medically directed care team model.
Ensure patient safety and monitor vital signs during perioperative period.
