Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a Locum Tenens position in Hershey, PA. This role involves providing clinical anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients (ages 5 and up) in an outpatient setting. The coverage period is from ASAP through December 31, 2026. The schedule consists of (4) 10-hour shifts per week, with specific hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. This is a supplemental coverage need. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center utilizing the Cerner EMR system. The case mix includes General, Orthopedics, Trauma, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Endoscopy, NORA, Robotic surgery, Gynecology, and ENT, but excludes hearts and OB cases. Specific required procedures include managing Neurosurgical cases (Head, Spine), Thoracic cases (except open heart), complex orthopedic cases, ventilation management, evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, and placement of Central Lines and Arterial Lines.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC) Required
- Valid PA License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
Responsibilities
- Assess, prepare and manage patients for anesthesia care in the perioperative/procedural period
- Develop and implement an anesthetic plan
- Perform history and physical and obtain Informed Consent
- Perform a pre-anesthetic evaluation and post-operative assessment
- Perform invasive monitoring and placement (CVP/CVC, pulmonary artery catheterization, intra-arterial lines)
