Suncoast Surgery Center is looking for a CRNA, as an Independent Contractor, to join our Frantz EyeCare team. Part-time or PRN. No call, No nights or weekends. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree in Anesthesia or Nursing
- Current Licensure, certification, and ACLS required
Responsibilities
- Review the cases scheduled and assigned for the day and the types of anesthesia prescribed for each.
- Assemble supplies and equipment needed.
- Explain the procedure to each patient to secure cooperation and gain confidence.
- Assist in transporting patients to the operating room and recovery room as needed.
- Maintain records for each anesthetic administered.
- Check chart for- correct scheduled procedure, correct surgeon, drug allergies, pre-anesthetic evaluation, lab data (if applicable) and other reports, medical work-up and consultations indicated.
- Maintain close communication with the MD and circulating nurse, as needed
- Respect the confidentiality of the patient, center and physician related information.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and use complete discretion when discussing patient information.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Assume personal responsibility for professional development.
