About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a Locum Tenens position in Stafford, VA. This inpatient role involves clinical duties plus call coverage, with a need for ongoing support starting ASAP. The position is for 40 hours per week, with a TBD shift and call schedule. The call ratio is 1:8 weeks, with a 45-minute response time for in-house calls. Phone consults are varied. The case mix includes Cardiac, Complete Ortho, Complex Vascular, Head, Spine, Neuro, OB, Pediatric, Regional, and Thoracic cases. Procedures include various anesthesia techniques (Spinal, Epidural, Regional Surgery, General - Adult, Pediatric, Trauma), Thoracic, Complex vascular, Complex orthopedic (except open heart), pain management techniques, post-op epidural and extremity blocks, Transforaminal - Lumbar and Cervical, Vent Management, evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, and Central Line/PA catheter placement. The facility is a Trauma Level II and uses Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services for a variety of cases including Cardiac, Complete Ortho, Complex Vascular, Head, Spine, Neuro, OB, Pediatric, Regional, and Thoracic.
Perform procedures such as Spinal, Epidural, Regional Surgery, General Anesthesia (Adult, Pediatric, Trauma), Thoracic, Complex vascular, Complex orthopedic (except open heart), pain management techniques, post-op epidural and extremity blocks, Transforaminal - Lumbar and Cervical.
Manage Vent Mgt.
Evaluate and manage acute volume/BP issues.
Perform Central Line placement and PA catheter insertion.
Participate in call coverage, including in-house calls with a 1:8 ratio and 45-minute response time.
Handle phone consults.
Work in an inpatient setting at a Trauma Level II facility.
